Postnatal Workshop Q & A

I’m being asked lots of questions about the Postnatal workshop so I thought it only fair to answer them and share my answers with you all.

What will I learn on the workshop?

During pregnancy the body goes through a number of changes some are to adapt to the growing baby, some are to ensure that our babies have a steady supply of nutrients, oxygen and blood, some are for after the baby is born. You will learn what these changes are and what continues after delivery which could impact your recovery.

Will we be exercising?

Yes I’ll provide you with a short but intense workout to burn fat that can be done at home, on the beach or in the gym. I’ll also provide you with a core workout to strengthen and repair your core and pelvic floor and flatten your stomach.

How can I be sure the exercises will work?

Just in a month of clients performing the exercises they’ve lost up to 5lbs in weight and up to 4-6 inches off their body dimensions.

I don’t have time to exercise?

All the exercise provided will take less than 1 hour and you can break it up into 10 min blocks to be done through the day.

Will we be talking about nutrition?

Yes, it’s a vital piece of the puzzle so you need to know what to eat and what not to eat.

I’m pregnant can I attend?

Yes, there are some pregnant ladies already signed up. The discussion on the changes during pregnancy and nutrition will be very relevant for you. Depending on where you in your pregnancy will determine what exercises you will do.

Sounds interesting but I had my baby years ago?

It’s for all women that have had baby’s, a lot of the time the body has not been repaired properly so can result in lower back pain, bladder control issues, a mummy tummy. There’s also the issue of weight that can’t be shifted.

I had a procedure to remove fibroids would the course address this?

As this is very similar to a caesarian, the exercises and nutrition advice will also help you in regaining the body you love.

Why is it only for 1 day?

I want to give the advice and tools you will need to get you started on your journey. As a mother I know that your time is limited so I want to help you to start making the necessary changes. At the same time I do work with clients on a one to one basis. Also I’m currently in talks, to try and organise regular group pre and post natal exercise classes

Can I contact you after the day?

Of course I would like to create a support network for all who attend so that everyone including myself provides continued support. I’ll also be setting up an ongoing Facebook group.

Any more questions feel free to ask away.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on Saturday.
