You have decided that you want to get fit and your local gym has some great membership deals on but you are still undecided as to whether you should sign up.
Over the years whilst teaching aerobic classes, I’ve had to have a quiet word or two with some class members over wearing inappropriate footwear. Some people purchase trainers for fashion reasons but are unaware that they cannot then be used in an aerobic or sport setting. The footwear would not provide the level of support that your feet require and over time will cause damage, some examples are blisters, issue with toes, back, knee and hip pain.
Saturday 29th September was World Heart Day. It is an annual event to highlight the great concern worldwide of Cardiovascular disease, it is the number 1 killer and causes 17.3 million deaths a year. The World Heart Federation, World Health Organisation and other connected bodies, provide information on the risk factors and practical measures that can be taken to reduce your risk.
