You have decided that you want to get fit and your local gym has some great membership deals on but you are still undecided as to whether you should sign up.
There is a misconception that to achieve results from a workout, you have to workout for at least an hour or more and do this every day. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
So when I was asked the following question, as well as providing an answer I felt I should explain further.
Q: Is it true that you can get the same results from a shorter workout as you do from a longer workout.
Over the years whilst teaching aerobic classes, I’ve had to have a quiet word or two with some class members over wearing inappropriate footwear. Some people purchase trainers for fashion reasons but are unaware that they cannot then be used in an aerobic or sport setting. The footwear would not provide the level of support that your feet require and over time will cause damage, some examples are blisters, issue with toes, back, knee and hip pain.

I find that when a woman has a baby, increasingly there is pressure on them from different segments of society to snap back into shape quickly and lose that baby weight, even for us trainers. How realistic is this, should this really be where your focus is.

Day 12 of the Thanksgiving Diet Challenge, many of us have placed our faith in God and seen great things happen in our life, are we sharing this with others.

So you want to restart exercising well done. Exercise has many benefits it helps with weight management, increases your strength, builds muscle, helps improve your moods and reduces your risk of disease. Some of the benefits will be noticeable as soon as you restart exercising.
Saturday 29th September was World Heart Day. It is an annual event to highlight the great concern worldwide of Cardiovascular disease, it is the number 1 killer and causes 17.3 million deaths a year. The World Heart Federation, World Health Organisation and other connected bodies, provide information on the risk factors and practical measures that can be taken to reduce your risk.
Our last topic in fitness motivators looks at the many areas of our lives which motivate us some of them being, self (body image), family, friends and work.
