What are your favourite fitness tools? For me this translates to favourite fitness equipment. For my workouts my most prized fitness tools are my body weight, dumbbells and my kettlebell and here’s why…..
This week I’ve been focused on upping my cardio levels. I love strength training, so I have to ensure that I maintain balance in my workouts to optimise on the benefits. So I thought I’d share one of my workouts with you, on Easter Fitness Friday, it will probably come in handy after you’ve demolished all those Easter eggs too
So it’s that time of the week again and we’re all ready to work out, hopefully you’ve been hitting our targets all week but if not let’s head into the weekend on a high.
Fat is a needed nutrient in our diet for some of the following reasons:
Do you struggle with eating healthily and knowing what to eat and when? This is one of my most common questions. So when I received the following I thought I’d share my response.

Some of you already know that I’m a fan of wellnesschat on Twitter every Thursday at 8pm ET started by Sarah Stanley, just search on the hash tag #wellnesschat. It focus’s on various aspects of your health and fitness and I’m looking forward to getting back involved.
Some weeks ago Jill Coleman was the expert speaker on fat loss, I’ve been a fan of Jill since being introduced to metabolic effect by Lincoln Bryden, head to her web site to know why and you can also catch her on Twitter. So although I missed the chat I was not going to pass up the opportunity, to do a write up on it for my own records. In this way I can share with you all what I would have contributed, Jill and Sarah’s expertise and that of the other participants in the chat.
So let’s get started.
The end of the working week is here for most of us. Rather than relaxing your efforts to keep fit why not step them up today and over the weekend, when you might have more time available to you for longer sessions.
One of my favourite exercises of all time are squats, those who I have taught or coached will be able to agree with this as I’ve taken them through their paces Squats can be done anywhere, anytime and they are great for working so many muscles. I thought I’d share with you some of the many benefits of doing squats in the hope that you will start to love them too.

Two weeks ago I attended a Raw Food Workshop run by Anita McKenzie. She is a holistic raw and living food life style coach and interfaith minister, plus she is very passionate about eating raw food. She has been raw for 5 years, it has helped her to overcome chronic hypertension, provides her with boundless amounts of energy and helps her maintain a healthy weight. The menu for the workshop was the same one that, Anita designed for the popular female British comedian Gina Yashere, which was featured in last years Channel 4 Come Dine With Me Christmas Special.

How often do you decide to just go for a walk? It’s a great way to maintain your fitness level, it works several major muscles, it helps your balance and it’s a good way to invigorate you and de-stress you. It’s something that I like to do daily. Depending on the time available to you, it can be a short or long walk.
