Losing Baby Weight

So you’ve had your baby and you want to lose your baby weight. You are short on time and you are breast feeding, hence are concerned that by trying to lose weight you will be depleting the nutrients/supply of breast milk to your baby.

 

Firstly restricting your calorie intake is not advisable, although you should aim for a healthy balanced diet free from processed food, saturated fat and excess sugar to encourage weight loss, this will be covered in another post.

 

With regards to exercise, research has shown that exercise done at a moderate intensity has not been found to affect milk supply, I too found that exercise did not interrupt my milk supply. Ideas for Low Impact Exercises

Not everyone can or wants to participate in high impact exercise such as those with joint or bone issues, pregnant clients, beginners etc but you can still have a good intense workout.
